Alexander Ignatievich Kytmanov (1858-1910) - local historian, historian, soil scientist, botanist, public figure; founder of the Yenisei Museum of Local Lore.

Biography
Born on June 6, 1858 in Yeniseisk in the family of a gold miner.
After graduating from St. Petersburg University (in 1881, received a Ph.D. in natural sciences) he participated in the expeditions of V.V. Dokuchaev to study the soils of Europe and several provinces of Russia.
In 1882 he settled in Yeniseisk .
In 1888, he organized the Yenisei Museum of Local Lore with the like-minded people and for 20 years he was its head. The first in Yeniseisk began to deliver lectures in male and female gymnasiums and public lectures in a public meeting with a demonstration of museum materials on the following topics:
- About plant life
- About the beasts of the Yenisei Territory
- On the sea route to Siberia.
Alexander Ignatievich Katymanov died in 1910.
