He studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts , then with L. Buchhorn and E. Mandel . His works, performed mainly by a chisel, differed, as A. I. Somov believed, “in the correctness of the drawing, and especially in the masterly transfer of matter” [1] . Seidel’s works were used for Prussian banknotes .
