Ananiev, Anatoly Romanovich

Born April 3, 1911 in the village. Ilka of the Novo-Bryansk volost of the Verkhneudinsky district of the Zabaikalsky region ^[1] (now in the Zaigraevsky district of Buryatia ), from 1923 he lived in a village. High (now - the Amur region ), where he studied at the school. From 1928 he studied at the Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky nine-year school (he lived separately from parents who moved in the same year in the village of Khokhotuy, Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky District), at the same time he worked as a seasonal worker to repair the railway and senior workers on the Orgles expedition to Utaq. Participated in the elimination of illiteracy, was elected chairman of the student committee and secretary of the Komsomol cell ^[2] .

Since 1931, after graduating from school, he worked in the Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky police department ^[2] . In September of the same year he entered the geological department of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Tomsk University , in May 1933 he transferred to the geological department of the geological-soil-geographical faculty, which he graduated in 1937 with a first degree diploma ^{[1] [2]} .

From 1937 to 1990 he taught at the Tomsk University (laboratory assistant, from 1937 - assistant, from 1945 - assistant professor of the department of paleontology; from 1964 - professor, from 1978 - head of the department of paleontology and historical geology). At the same time he was dean of the geological (1949-1950) and geological-geographical (1960-1965) faculties ^[2] . Courses: general and historical geology, paleontology, paleobotany, paleobotany of Siberia, aerogeology, micropaleontology, petrography, mineralogy, methods of stratigraphic studies ^[2] .

He initiated the creation of a summer range in the vicinity of Lake Shira in Khakassia, where he was the first to take students to practice ^[2] .

Concurrently, he also worked as the head of the Mariinsky Geological and Exploration Party, a geologist of the Ki Party, the West Siberian Geological Administration; during the years of the Great Patriotic War , he was the head and technical head of the geological exploration parties of the trust “Zapsibtsvetmetmerazvedka”.

He was buried in the baktin cemetery ^[2] .

Family

Grandfather - Ilya Ananyev; in the 1890s, he was exiled with his family from the Vyatka province to the Petrovsky Zavod, worked on the construction of the Siberian railway, then in agriculture ^[2] .

Father - Roman Ilyich Ananiev, a participant in the First World War (was wounded three times) and the Civil War (1920–1922, was wounded, received frostbite, as a result of which in 1924 he suffered an amputation of the left lower extremity); worked as a watchman ^[2] .

Mother - Evdokia Pavlovna, after the death of her husband until 1940 she worked at the Khokhotuisky sawmill of the Trans-Baikal Railway ^[2] .

Wife - Rimma Vladimirovna, laboratory assistant at the Faculty of Geology and Geography, Tomsk State University. Children:

• Vladimir (b. 1945), Anatoly (b. 1952), candidates of geological and mineralogical sciences ^[2] .

In the second marriage wife - Tatiana Viktorovna Zakharova, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics of Tomsk University;

• daughter - Anna (b. 1981), a graduate of the geology and geography department of Tomsk University ^[2] .

In 1945 he defended his candidate’s (“Remains of the Upper Cretaceous and Tertiary flora of the Kem River, left tributary of the Yenisei River”), in 1962 - his doctoraldissertation. The main areas of research ^[2] :

• Devonian stratigraphy and the oldest higher plants;
• paleobotany red Devonian deposits.

Achievements ^{[1] [2]} :

• He described 73 species of ancient plants, of which 15 species and 6 genera are new to science.
• He proposed a scheme of detailed segmentation of the Cretaceous and Tertiary sediments in the Chulym-Yenisei basin, established the stratigraphic position of the Lower Cretaceous sediments.
• He established the bauxite potential of one of the formations of the Cretaceous deposits of the Chulym-Yenisei basin identified by him.
• He revealed a number of coal deposits in the Jurassic deposits of the central part of Kuzbass (1935-1937, together with D. A. Vasiliev).
• He discovered iron, manganese and tungsten mineralization in the Golden Kitat river basin.
• He discovered (as a group) the Kundatskoe gold-antimony-tungsten deposit (1942).
• He substantiated and discovered industrial gold on the abandoned vein "Oboronnaya" in the Burlevskoye deposit (1943).
• He revealed a number of points of tungsten mineralization in the northern spurs of the Kuznetsk Alatau and on the Tannu-Ola ridge (Tuva).
• Discovered deposits of high-grade quartz sand, suitable for the manufacture of high-quality glass (including optical) and molding sand (1940s).
• Discovered signs of liquid oil in the south-eastern margin of the West Siberian Plain (1950).
• He initiated the creation of a geological and paleontological museum in Shira (Khakassia).
• He organized the museum of the first land plants at the Tomsk University.

Simultaneously with teaching, he was an inspector for research work at the university administration of Tomsk University (10.25.1948 - 1.2.1949), scientific secretary of the university council (6.7.1952 - 10.7.1953) ^[2] . He was the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the All-Union Colloquium on the Study of Higher Fossil Plants of the Devonian System (1978), member (since 1954) and honorary member (since 1981) of the All-Union Paleontological Society ^[3] (chairman of the Tomsk branch of the society), member of the specialized council for the defense of doctoral dissertations USSR Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academic Council of the Tomsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, Library Council of the University; collaborated in the editorial office of the newspaper "For Soviet Science". He was the curator of the scientific student society of the faculty and the university ^[2] .

He was a member of the standing stratigraphic commission for the Devonian sediments of the Interdepartmental Stratigraphic Committee of the USSR and the Regional Siberian Commission for Stratigraphy, the Scientific Council of the USSR Academy of Sciences on the “Ways and regularities of the historical development of animals and plant organisms” (Chairman of the Commission for Psilo phytes, great paroports and prototypes), RSCC Paleozoic, Head Council on the Geology of the Moscow Military District ^[2] .

As a member of the "Knowledge" society, he gave popular science lectures to schoolchildren, students, workers and collective farmers of the city and region ^[2] .

Author of about 100 scientific papers ^{[1] [2]} .
