Location

The village of Baryshovo is located in the southwestern part of the Orekhovo-Zuyevo district, about 40 km south of the city of Orekhovo-Zuyevo . The Desna River flows along the western outskirts of the village. Height above sea level 129 m [3] .

Title

The name is associated with the non-calendar personal name Barysh [4] .

History

In 1926 the village was the center of the Baryshevsky village council of the Ilinsky volost of the Egoryevsky district of the Moscow province [5] .

Until 2006, Baryshovo was part of the Ilyinsky rural district of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district [6] .

Population

In 1926, 299 people lived in the village (129 men, 170 women), there were 72 farms, of which 66 were peasant [5] . According to the 2002 census , 49 people (25 men, 24 women) [7] .
