History
On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F.F. Schubert in 1834, the village of Zadnevo is mentioned [2] .
ZADNEVO - the village belongs to the Treasury, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 22 m., 37 g. p. [3] (1838)
The village of Zadnevo is marked on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [4] .

In the XIX century, the village administratively belonged to the Mikhailovsky volost of the 1st camp of the Novoladozh district of the St. Petersburg province, at the beginning of the XX century - of the 2nd camp.

In 1917, the village was part of the Gorodische district.
From 1918 to 1923, the village of Zadnevo was part of the Zadnevsky village council of the Zakhozh volost of Novoladozh district.
Since 1923, as part of the Zarechsky village council of the Proletarian volost of the Volkhov district .
Since 1927, as part of the Volkhov district.
In 1928, the population of Zadnevo was 393 people [7] .

The village is located in the southwestern part of the region north of the village of Volkovo on the highway 41K-396 (Zadnevo - Khotovo ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 21 km [14] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Pupyshevo - 7 km [9] .
