Biography
Yakov Plyashechnik was born on December 9, 1907 in the village of Grabarovka (now - Pyriatyn district of the Poltava region of Ukraine ). After completing seven classes of school, he worked on the collective farm . In 1929, Plyashechnik was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1934, he graduated from the Sevastopol Military Aviation Pilot School. Since the beginning of World War II - on its fronts [1] .
By March 1942, Captain Jacob Plyashechnik commanded the squadron of the 1st Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 23rd Bomber Aviation Division of the Long Bomber Aviation. By that time, he had made 74 sorties for the bombardment of clusters of military equipment and manpower of the enemy, his important objects, as well as for the landing of assault forces into the enemy rear [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated June 20, 1942, Captain Yakov Plyashechnik was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star Medal " No. 586 [1] .
February 11, 1944 Plyashechnik died in battle. He was buried in a brotherly cemetery in Vsevolozhsk [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War , 1st degree and the Red Star , along with a number of medals [1] .
