Tall Dwarfs is a New Zealand music project founded in 1981 by Chris Knox and Alik Bathgate. Their primitive, often avant-garde DIY approach to creating music had a rather significant impact on the formation and development of the low-est aesthetics in modern music [1] . Since there was no drummer in the group, third-party objects and percussion samples were often used as drums [2] . Despite the fact that the group has always remained in the deepest underground and little known even in music circles, it has influenced many well-known bands, in particular, the Neutral Milk Hotel and Pavement .
