Sir Alexander Stuart of Darnley ( 1368 - 1404 ) is a Scottish nobleman , a distant relative of the kings of Scotland from the Stuart dynasty.

Biography
Representative of the Stuart dynasty. The only son and heir to Alexander Stuart of Darnley (d. 1374 ).
It is not known who his first wife was, perhaps she came from the Turnbull clan. Children:
- John Stewart of Darnley (c. 1380 - 1429 ), Earl d'Evreux, stable of the Scottish forces in France
- William Stewart (d. In September 1402 ), died in captivity under Sir Heinrich Percy after the Battle of Homildon Hill . Ancestor of the elder branch of the Stuart clan, Earls of Galloway

For the second time, Alexander Stuart married Janet Keith, widow of David Hamilton of Cazou , daughter of Sir William Keith of Galston . He received the possession of his wife’s land in Galston with the assistance of Count Carrick Robert Stewart . They had a son:
- William Stuart (d. February 12, 1429 ), died in the Battle of Herring .
