Biography
Giulio Bonasone from 1521 to 1574 lived in the north of Italy in the city of Bologna [2] . Among other things, he studied art at Lorenzo Sabbatini and Giulio Romano [3] .
He was one of the first who tried to reproduce the effect of paints on engraving [2] . After it remained more than 350 prints. In particular, Giulio Bonasone owns a portrait of Michelangelo (1548), attached to the biography of the latter, written by Ascanio Condivi [4] (and two years earlier Michelangelo himself painted a portrait of Bonasone [5] ).
Giulio Bonasone died in the city of Bologna in 1574.
Later, Rembrandt , wishing to practice nudity, collected in his collection of prints many erotic prints and paintings by Giulio Bonasone, Raphael , Rosso , Annibale Carracci , Hendrik Goltz , as well as Albrecht Durer and his followers. In Giulio Bonasone, “debauchery” is dressed in antique clothes: physical love is depicted, but this did not cause moral protest, since the gods made love on engravings [3] .
