Content

Geography

The municipality is located in the southern part of the Tersky district . The composition of the rural settlement includes two settlements.

The area of ​​the rural settlement is 64.78 km 2 . Of these, about 60 km 2 are agricultural land.

It borders the lands of municipalities: Inarka and Upper Kurp in the east, Planovskoye in the southwest, Beloglinskoye and Deyskoye in the west and Tambovskoye in the north.

The rural settlement is located on the sloping Kabardian plain , in the transition from the foothill to the lowland zone of the republic. The average altitude in the territory of the municipality is 281 meters above sea level. The terrain is basically a sloping piedmont plain without sharp fluctuations in relative heights. In the bowels there is a large supply of clay for the production of bricks and tiles.

The hydrographic network on the territory of the rural settlement is represented by the Chernaya Rechka creek and the Akbash canal.

The climate is humid and temperate with warm summers and cool winters. The average annual air temperature is about + 10.5 ° С, and ranges from average + 22.5 ° С in July, to average -2.0 ° С in January. Minimum temperatures in winter are extremely rarely released below -10 ° C, in summer maximum temperatures reach + 35 ° C. The average annual rainfall is about 650 mm. Most precipitation falls from April to June. The main winds are east and northwest.

History

The village council at the village of Astemirovo was founded in 1920 , after the final establishment of Soviet power in Kabarda.

In 1951, the village of Beloglinskoye was included in the village council.

In 1963, the previously established working village - Zavodskoye - was included in the village council.

In 1992, the Verkhne-Akbash Village Council was reorganized and transformed into the Verkhneakbash Village Administration. At that time, the village of Beloglinskoye was isolated from its composition into a separate territorial entity.

The municipality of Verkhniy Akbash is endowed with the status of a rural settlement by the Law of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of February 27, 2005 No. 13-RZ “On the Status and Borders of Municipalities in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic”.
