Biography
Born May 9, 1917 in a peasant family in the resettlement village Pavlovsky [1] of the Tevriz volost of the Tarsky district of the Tobolsk province [2] .
After finishing five grades of school, he worked on the collective farm and in the Tevriz district consumer union [1] .
In 1936 he was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army [1] .
In September 1941 he entered the first battle near Tula, here he was awarded the medal "For Courage". In one of the battles, he burned a tank with Molotov cocktails, which began to enter the flank of the unit, but was wounded [1] .
After returning from the hospital, he participated in the battle for Stalingrad, and was wounded during one of the attacks. After returning from the hospital, he fell into reconnaissance, and on his very first exit behind enemy lines captured a prisoner [1] .
By September 1943, the Guard, Senior Sergeant Nikolai Plyusnin, commanded a platoon of machine gunners of a motorized rifle battalion of the 9th Guards Mechanized Brigade of the 3rd Guards Mechanized Corps of the 47th Army of the Voronezh Front . He distinguished himself during the battle of the Dnieper . On September 30, 1943, his platoon was among the first to cross the Dnieper in the area of the village of Selishche, Kanevsky district, Cherkasy region of the Ukrainian SSR and took an active part in the battles for the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore. In those battles, Plyusnin personally destroyed 2 firing points, capturing 3 enemy soldiers [3] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 3, 1944, Senior Sergeant Nikolai Plyusnin was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union [3] .
In a battle near the White Church he was wounded by a near mine explosion and sent for treatment [1] .
After the war was demobilized [3] .
At first he lived and worked in Omsk , here he graduated from the Omsk Sovppartschool and worked in the consumer cooperation system. In 1959 he moved to Khmelnitsky , where he worked at a sugar factory [1] .
