Biography
He studied composition at the Latvian Conservatory (since 1965 - its teacher). In 1959-1990 - music editor of the publishing house "Liesma" ( Latvian. Liesma ). One of the prominent representatives of Latvian choral music. Kalninsh owns the recording and processing of folk songs.
