Larger ear possum [1] ( lat. Didelphis aurita ) is a mammal from the possum family. It lives in the rainforests of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. It can reach a length of 60 to 90 cm and weigh up to 1.6 kg. Leads a tree lifestyle. It feeds on fruits, worms and insects. Shelter is in the hollows of trees, among the leaves and in the nests of birds. The gestation period lasts about 13 days. There are 2 litters per year, in each litter there are 8 cubs that feed on mother’s milk for 3 months.
