Zayn-dd Abu al-Faraj Abdul-r-Rahman ibn Achmad al-Hainbali , better known as Ibn Rajab ( arab. ابن رجب ; 1335 , Baghdad - 1393 , Damascus ) - a Muslim scholar, author of numerous works on Islam , Hadistic , Sheikh of the Hanbali madhhab .

Biography
Full name: Zaynu-d-din Abu-l-Faraj Abdu-r-Rahman ibn Ahmad ibn Abd-r-Rahman ibn al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Abu-el-Barakat Masoud al-Soumi al-Baghdad al-Hanbali. Born in Baghdad, in the month of Rabi al-Avval, 706 AH (1335). His father was the reader of the Koran and the hadid scholar Shihab ad-Din Abu-l-Abbas Ahmad ibn Rajab. Since childhood, Ibn Rajab studied in the Hanbali madrasah , he studied with Ibn al-Nakib, al-Nawawi , Usman ibn Yusuf and other ulama of the time. The disciples of Ibn Rajab were: Qadi , “Judge of the Judges” Shihab ad-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Abu Bakr, better known as Ibn al-Rassam, Qadi Muhibb ad-Din Ahmad ibn Nasrullah al-Baghdadi, Davud ibn Suleiman al- Mausuli al-Hanbali and others.
Ibn Rajab died in the month of Rajab in the year 795 AH (1393), was buried in the al-Bab al-Sagir cemetery in Damascus, near the tomb of Sheikh Abul-Faraj Abd al-Wahid ibn Muhammad al-Shirazi, who at one time contributed to the spread the mazhab of the hanbalites in al-Quds ( Jerusalem ) and Damascus.

Ibn Rajab is the author of many books. Among them, it is worth mentioning the works of al-Qawaid al-Fikhiy on the Hanbali madhhab, the commentary on Jami and Ilal by Abu Isa at-Tirmidhi , the commentary on Forty Hadith by al-Nawawi.
