Huanghua ( Chinese: . , Pinyin : Huánghuá ) is a city county in Cangzhou City District, Hebei Province ( PRC ). The city district is named after Huang Hua, who heroically died in these places during the war with Japan.

History
During the Qin Empire in 221 BC e. Luxian County (柳 县) was established here. Under the Western Jin Empire, in 265 it was renamed Gaocheng (高 城县), and during the Sui Empire in 598, it was renamed Yanshan (盐山县).
During the war with Japan, puppet authorities in 1938 formed the Xinhai County (新海 县) from the adjacent territories of the Yanshan and Binhai counties. In 1943, Xinhai and Qincheng (青城 县) counties were merged into Xinqing (新 青县) counties.
After the end of World War II, Xinqing County was renamed Huanghua in 1945 in honor of , the deputy commander of the Hebei-Shandong liberated area, who heroically died in the fight against the Japanese.
In 1949, the Cangxian Special District (沧县 专区) was formed, and the county became part of it. In June 1958, Tianjin was demoted to become a city of provincial subordination, and the Cangxian Special District was annexed to the Tianjin Special District (天津 专区). In early 1959, the Tianjin Special District was disbanded, and its entire territory became part of the city of Tianjin.
In June 1961, the Cangzhou Special Region (沧州 专区), the former Cangxian Special Region, was restored, and the county became part of it. In December 1967, Cangzhou Special District was renamed Cangzhou District (沧州 地区).
In 1989, Huanghua County was transformed into a city county. In 1993, Cangzhou County and Cangzhou City were disbanded, and Cangzhou City District was formed on their territories.
