Biography

At the age of 13, he began to play Russian drafts under the leadership of Arkady Rokitnitsky, then he moved to international drafts. The first success was achieved at the championship of the Belarusian SSR. Member of 14 finals of the USSR Championship. Max Shavel the first in Belarus was awarded the title of international master [1] . Max Shavel is the author of many theoretical articles, the development of one of the systems in the debut “ Reverse City Party ”, co-author (together with Rokitnitsky) of the book “Checkers in the BSSR”.

In 1990, he moved with his family to Israel , where he continued to participate in tournaments [2] . He lived in Tel Aviv . Died December 13, 2014.
