David Moiseevich Sokolinsky ( 1902 - 1940 ) - head of the NKVD Directorate for the Donetsk Region , senior major of state security ( 1936 ). He was a member of the special trio of the NKVD of the USSR .

Biography
Born in the Jewish family of a cooper worker. In the RCP (b) since December 1920 (member of the RKSM in 1919-1923). He graduated from elementary school in Odessa in 1914, then 2 classes of a vocational school in the same place in 1914-1916. A delivery man in the office of a trading house in Odessa from October 1916 to November 1917, then a delivery man in a coal warehouse until April 1919. Private soldier of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission of Infantry from April 1919 to July 1920.
In 1920-1921, deputy head of the Organizational Department of the Baltic County Committee of the CP (b) U , deputy chairman of the Baltic County Council of Trade Unions . In 1921-1928, he was authorized by the Political Bureau of the Baltic County Cheka, authorized by the GPU of the Nikolaev okrug department of the GPU, head of the Baltic branch of the GPU under the SNK of the Moldavian ASSR , assistant head of the Stalin okrug department of the GPU, assistant head of the Special Department of the Ukrainian Military District. In 1928-1930 he was the head of the Information Department of the Accounting and Organizational Department of the GPU under the SNK of the Ukrainian SSR. In 1930-1931, the acting head of the Information Department of the GPU under the SNK of the Ukrainian SSR . In 1931-1932, assistant to the head of the Special Department of the GPU under the SNK of the Ukrainian SSR, assistant to the head of the Special Department of the GPU of the Ukrainian Military District , head of the Moldavian Regional Department of the GPU, head of the 25th border detachment of the OGPU . In 1932-1934, the head of the Vinnitsa regional department of the GPU. In 1934-1936, the head of the Office of the NKVD in the Vinnitsa region . In 1936-1937, the head of the Office of the NKVD in the Dnipropetrovsk region . [1] In January-April 1937, head of the III Division of the State Security Directorate of the NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR.
From April 1937 to February 1938 he was the head of the NKVD Directorate for the Donetsk Region . This period was marked by the inclusion of a special troika created by order of the NKVD of the USSR dated 30.07.1937 No. 00447 [2] and active participation in the Stalinist repressions [3] .
In February-April 1938, the head of the NKVD Directorate for the Chelyabinsk region . In April 1938, he was transferred, together with a group of Chekists, to the People's Commissariat for Water Transport of the USSR , until February 1939, head of the Central Directorate of the Marine Oil Fleet. He lived in Moscow at the address: Serafimovich Street , 2 , apartment 54.
He was arrested in January 1939. He was shot by the verdict of the HCVF of the USSR on January 21, 1940. He was not rehabilitated.
