Biography

Antanas Shurna was born on March 27, 1940 in Kaunas. In 1958-1962 he studied at the theater department of the Vilnius State Conservatory . In 1963-1964 he played on the stage of the Kaunas Drama Theater . In 1964-1965 he was an actor in the Šiauliai Drama Theater. Since 1965 he joined the troupe of the new Vilnius Youth Theater (now the State Youth Theater of Lithuania ).

He acted in films a lot. He made his debut in 1963 in the film "One Day Chronicle", where he played Thomas Rimshu in his youth. Member of the CPSU since 1972 [1] .

He died on May 19, 2014 in Vilnius. [2]

  • State Prize of the Lithuanian SSR for participating in the film "Herkus Mantas" (1973).
