The length of the Novo-Romanovskiy group of rocks together with the Hanging Stone is 6 km. The height of the rocks is up to 30 meters above the river. Cliffs, grottoes, stone beaches, sweepers of rocks extend in the meridional direction.

Novoromanovsky pisanitsa

At the foot of the Novoromanovsky rocks in the mouth of the Dolgaya river, two groups of rock paintings are found, which together with the Tutalsky rocks are part of a single cultural and historical landmark of the Tomsk script:

  • At the mouth of the Dolgaya River, 30 meters above the Tom River, on the coastal terrace
  • Hanging stone, 1 km downstream of the Tom River, on the upper eaves of the rocks

In the mouth of the Long River, which flows into Tom , an ancient station of people was discovered [1] . These several groups of rock paintings constitute the open-air museum of cultural activity, and are the place of tourist service for groups.

In the floodplain thickets of grass beneath the rocks are poisonous snakes - vipers .

Tourism

The passage of the cliffs by the coast is a lengthy sports tourist obstacle that dramatically complicates the tourist route from the Tomsk Pisanitsa Museum-Reserve to Tomsk . In some places, insurance is required for group members, bottom exploration (in seasons with high water levels in the river). With the passage of the clips along the shore, you must have a simple climbing equipment.

Tourist parking at the Novoromanovsky rocks is equipped with tourist groups directly at the mouth of the river on the left bank on the first and second coastal terraces. From the parking lot is convenient to inspect the coastal rock paintings.
