Biography
Born March 27, 1922 in the city of Novograd-Volynsky now Zhytomyr region . Russian. In 1939 he graduated from high school number 2 in Novograd-Volynsky. He worked as an accountant, then as a technizer of the Gasomotor artel in the town of Talne in the Cherkasy region .
In April 1941, drafted into the ranks of the Red Army . In the battles of World War II since 1941. He fought on the Western, Stalingrad, Donskoy, Voronezh, Kalinin and 1 st Baltic fronts. Member of the CPSU since 1943.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945, for exemplary performance of the combat tasks of the command and the courage and heroism shown by the guard, senior lieutenant Siragov Pavel Ivanovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
After the end of World War II he continued to serve in the army. Since February 1973, Colonel P.I. Siragov has been in reserve. He lived in the city of Vilnius. He worked as Deputy Head of Vilnius Driving School DOSAAF. He died on April 30, 2008. He was buried at the Kayrenai cemetery in Vilnius.
Honored Culture Worker of the Lithuanian SSR. He was awarded the Order of Lenin , the Red Banner , World War 1 st degree, 2 orders of the Red Star and medals. On the building of Novograd-Volyn School No. 2 a memorial plaque to the Hero is installed.
