Biography

Born in the village of Kanukov, Lagansky ulus, Astrakhan province. Before World War II he studied at the Pedagogical School of Astrakhan. After the outbreak of war, he was sent to the Novocherkassk Artillery School, which he graduated in September 1942 with the rank of lieutenant. He was the platoon commander of the 110th Kalmyk Cavalry Division as part of the Northern Group of Forces of the Transcaucasian Front. Since September 28, 1942 he fought in the 30th Red Star Cavalry Division. He was the platoon commander of the 133rd cavalry regiment as part of the 4th Kuban Guards Cavalry Regiment of the North Caucasus Front. Later he was the platoon commander of the 36th cavalry regiment of the 10th cavalry division. In January 1943 he was injured. After the hospital in September 1943 he was sent as a platoon commander of the 9th Cavalry Regiment of the 3rd Guards Division.

In January 1944, he was seriously wounded during a battle in Belarus. He treated a wound in Tashkent. After the hospital, he was declared unfit for military service and he was appointed commander of the platoon of the Tashkent machine gun school. In January 1946, after the dissolution of the military school, he received special resettlement status and began to live in the city of Frunze of the Kyrgyz SSR, where he worked as a livestock specialist. He was the main livestock specialist of the Osh regional department of agriculture for horse breeding. For his activities he received the medal "Badge of Honor" in 1956.

In early 1957 he arrived in Elista, where he began to engage in party activities. In 1960 he was elected First Secretary of the Yashkul District Party Committee and in 1962 he was appointed head of the agricultural department of the CPSU regional committee. In 1967 he was elected Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kalmyk ASSR. In 1970, he was elected to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the VIII convocation.
