Biography
Nikolai Perfiliev was born on December 18, 1921 in the village of Kuzmadino (now - Yuryev-Polsky district of the Vladimir region ). In 1941, he was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. From the same year - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By June 1944, Sergeant Nikolai Perfiliev was deputy crew commander of the 280th Guards Fighter-Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment of the 3rd Guards Separate Fighter-Anti-Tank Artillery Brigade of the 65th Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . He distinguished himself during the liberation of the Byelorussian SSR . On June 27, 1944, Perfiliev’s calculation successfully reflected the counterattack of an enemy trying to break out of the Bobruisk boiler near the village of Sychkovo . On June 30, Perfiliev’s calculation reflected the German counterattacks on the bridgehead on the west bank of the Svisloch near the Lapichi station in the Minsk region , contributing to the successful actions of the infantry [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 22, 1944, Sergeant Nikolai Perfiliev was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .
After the end of the war Perfiliev was demobilized. He lived and worked in Riga . He died on August 21, 1972 [1] .
He was also awarded a number of medals [1] .
