Vladimir Vasilyevich Permyakov ( 1924 - 1995 ) - senior sergeant of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army , participant in the Great Patriotic War , Hero of the Soviet Union ( 1945 ).

Biography

Vladimir Permyakov was born on January 14, 1924 in the village of Zhidka (now the Baleisky district of the Transbaikal Territory ). After graduating from three classes of the school he worked in a promartel. He later graduated from a vocational school and worked first at the factory, then at the gold mines. In August 1942, Permyakov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. He graduated from the courses of driver mechanics. Since June 1944 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, he was assigned to the crew of the guard Lieutenant Oleg Matveev . In battles, he was wounded three times and shocked four times [1] .

By January 1945, the guard sergeant Vladimir Permyakov was a tank driver of the 49th Guards Tank Brigade of the 12th Guards Tank Corps of the 2nd Guards Tank Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . He distinguished himself during the liberation of Poland . On January 14-30, 1945, Permyakov, with his crew, fought 500 kilometers west without a single breakdown. On January 16, 1945, in the battle for the city of Sokhachev, Permyakov destroyed 25 vehicles, 2 artillery pieces, more than 10 carts and about 58 enemy soldiers and caterpillars of the tank. On January 19, 1945, in a battle for the city, Lyuben Permyakov destroyed 5 enemy aircraft at the airport, as well as an anti-tank gun. On the night of January 21-22, 1945, the Permyakov’s crew, together with three other crews, broke into Inowroclaw , destroyed communication facilities, defeated the airfield, then captured the highway and held it until the main forces arrived. In that battle, Permyakov’s crew destroyed 37 cars, 18 wagons, 3 aircraft, about 50 enemy soldiers and officers, and also captured the train. On February 5, 1945, Permyakov was seriously wounded in battle and was taken out by a comrade from the battlefield [1] .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 27, 1945, for “exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and shown courage and heroism” of the guard, senior sergeant Vladimir Permyakov was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the medal “ The Golden Star ” [1] .

In November 1945, Permyakov was demobilized. He lived and worked first in his homeland, then in the city of Poronaysk, Sakhalin Oblast . He died on March 21, 1995, was buried in the city cemetery of Poronaysk [1] .

He was also awarded orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st and 2nd degrees, a number of medals [1] .

In honor of Permyakov, the square in Poronaysk was named [1] . In 2014, a bust of the Hero was installed on the square [2] .
