Education
In 1983, after passing the matriculation exam at III high school in Torun , he began to study philosophy and theology at the Higher Theological Seminary in Gniezno ; June 21, 1988 received a master's degree in moral theology at the Pontifical Theological Faculty in Poznan .
Priesthood and research
He was ordained May 13, 1989 in the Cathedral of Gniezno with the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Jozef Glemp . In 1989-1991 he was vicar in the church parish in Bydgoszcz and at the same time secretary of auxiliary bishop Gniezno Jan Novak. By the decision of the Primate of Poland in 1991 he was sent to study at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome , where he studied in 1991-1993. Archbishop Henryk Mushinsky , Metropolitan of Gniezno, on September 1, 1995 appointed him prefect of the seminary in Gniezno and professor of moral theology in the same seminary and theological institute in Gniezno and the Institute of Christian Culture in Bydgoszcz. From October 1, 1996, he also lectured at the Holy Spirit Missionaries Seminary in Bydgoszcz. On December 1, 1998, he was appointed vice chancellor of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and, at the same time, assistant professor of the department of moral theology and spirituality of the theology department of the same university. Bishop
On April 8, 2003, Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Gniezno; titular bishop of Monte di Numidia. May 4, 2003 in the Cathedral of Gniezno was ordained bishop by Archbishop Henryk Mushinsky.
