Complete game ( Eng. Complete game , referred to as CG in statistics ) is a baseball term that defines a game in which the pitcher played the entire game without the help of reliever pitchers [1] . The frequency of full games has changed significantly since the founding of games to the present day. So, at the beginning of the 20th century, pitchers almost always completely played games in which they appeared in the starting lineup. In modern baseball, this achievement is much less common and since 1975 no pitcher has played 30 or more full games per season.
