Seymchan Airport is a small aviation airport in the northern part of the Magadan Region , in the Srednekansky district , in the village. Seymchan . Until 1992, the airport was actively used by local aviation for regular flights, forest conservation, geological exploration, ice reconnaissance, to solve construction, medical and agricultural problems. Nowadays, airplanes and helicopters are based at the airport for the implementation of forestry operations, flights are performed for the needs of geologists and artisanal artisans, as well as medical and other charter flights. In 2011, a regular flight was restored to the regional center of Magadan [2] [3] .

The historic terminal building, built in 1944, is an object of cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia and is protected by the state [4] .
Content
History
The airport was commissioned in 1942 when organizing the Alsib airway, which was used to drive American planes delivered to the USSR under a lend-lease agreement and had an unpaved runway of 1200x85 meters [5] . The 3rd ferry aviation regiment was based in Seymchan. In addition to the runway, an air base was built to provide maintenance for aircraft and air towns for aircraft specialists [6] . The dilapidated building of the old airport terminal, the only one preserved at Alsib 's airports , is planned to be maintained and given the status of a historical monument [7] .
