System
The University of Illinois university system includes three campuses in the US state of Illinois : Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield. The Urbana-Champaign campus is also known as the “U of I,” or “UIUC,” while the Chicago campus is known as the “UIC,” and the Springfield campus is known as the “UIS.”
The system is managed by a Board of Trustees consisting of thirteen members: the Governor of Illinois, nine trustees appointed by the Governor, and three students elected by referendum, one from each campus. One of the three student students is entitled to vote.

University Alumni Community
According to general statistics for all three campuses, the University of Illinois alumni community is the largest in the world; since its inception, the university has graduated more than 600,000 students. The Alumni Community (UIAA) has offices on each of the three campuses, as well as a separate Career Center, which offers employment and promotion assistance for all graduates. In addition to events, award programs, and interest graduate groups, the UIAA publishes materials to keep graduates in contact with the university and with each other. He also coordinates legal and tourism programs for graduates.
