TVP Historia

On August 2, 2006 , the State Council on Broadcasting and Television submitted an application for a license to the new television channel TVP, which was satisfied. Broadcasting of the new channel began on May 3, 2007 and was conducted from 15:00 to 23:00. Since June 25, 2007 the channel has been working on weekdays from 10 a.m. to midnight, and on weekends from 8 a.m. to midnight (the number of repetitions has decreased). Since September 2008, foreign programs with subtitles in Polish appeared on the channel.

In January 2011, the Council of State began the process of transforming TVP Historia into TVP Dokument due to the low rating of the channel ^[1] . The process is still ongoing, and the TVP Dokument is still broadcasting as a separate one.

• Scandals ( Polish. Kontrowersje ) - a program about the mysteries of the history of Poland and the world, as well as various versions of mysterious events. Presenter - Rafal Zemkevich.
• At the origins of civilization ( Polish: U źródeł cywilizacji ) - a program dedicated to the history of civilization, religion and the Church. The presenters are Robert Tekieli and father Maciej Zenba, a monk of the Dominican order.
• Powerless ( Polish Siła Bezsilnych ) - a program about the dissidents of the Polish People’s Republic and the anti-communist movement. Presenters: Jozsef Rushard and Tomas Terlikovsky.
• Whether or not it was ( Polish. Było nie było ) is a satirical program on a historical theme. Presenters - Jan Petzhak and Marcin Volsky.
• The wings of the Third Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth ( Polish: Kulisy III RP ) is a program about the history of Poland after 1989. The host is Professor Anthony Dudka, who works at the Institute of National Remembrance .
• Portal ( Polish. Portal ) is a historical magazine for a wide audience, in which interesting facts about history are presented in the form of feuilleton and funny stories.
• From the archives of the NDP ( Polish: Z archiwów PRL-u ) - a program about the latest history of Poland, the work of the Institute of National Remembrance, the center for the popularization of the history of KARTA and all those involved in such activities.
• Notes ( Polish: Notacje ) - a program about recent history, compiled in the form of interviews with witnesses of those events.
• Historical twists ( Polish: Zakręty dziejów ) - a program about the most important events in world history that changed its course. Presenter - Peter Semka.
• Acts of the Poles ( Polish: Dzieje Polaków ) is a program about the dynasties that have ruled Poland for centuries. Presenter - Wojciech Riesszynski.
• Duel ( pol . Pojedynek ) - talk shows. Presenters: Slavomir Serakovsky and Rafal Zemkevich.
• Why did this happen to us? ( Polish. Po co nam to było ...? ) is a talk show that discusses censorship, fashion, sports, propaganda and idols of the past. Each issue is a kind of lecture on the subject of history. Presenter - Jan Petrzak.
• Dictionary Poland ( Polish. Leksykon PRL ) - an educational program about the history of the Polish People’s Republic.
• For other people's money ( Polish. Za obce pieniądze ) - a series of documentaries about Polish spies and intelligence agents. Presenter - Rafal Zemkevich.
• History and film ( Polish. Historia i film ) is a program in which a group of experts watches one of Poland’s historical films and discusses their relevance to historical realities. Presenter - Krzysztof Klopotovsky.
• History and document ( pol. Historia i dokument ) - a cycle of the best documentaries of Poland and the world.
• Encyclopedia of Solidarity ( Polish Encyklopedia Solidarności ) - a series of three-minute reports on the leaders of the Solidarity movement.
• Thank you for Solidarity ( Polish. Dziękujemy za Solidarność ) - a series of short films dedicated to Polish dissidents.
• Cursed places ( Polish: Miejsca przeklęte ) is a series of documentaries about unusual events that influenced public opinion in Poland in the post-war years.
• Witnesses of unknown stories ( Polish Świadkowie nieznanych historii ) - a program about the events of the post-war years, which was little known to the public, and it was also forbidden to mention in the press. The program announces official documents and reports of those times. Transmission managers collaborate with the Institute of National Remembrance.
• The history of the Third Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth ( Polish Historia III RP ) is a documentary series, accompanied by comments by historians, politicians and publicists.
• Letters to Poland ( Polish Listy do PRL-u ) - a series of documentary programs about the life of an ordinary resident of the Polish People’s Republic. The archives of the Szczecin branch of the Polish television are used.
• Treasury of Yasny-Gora. People and Gifts ( Polish. Skarby Jasnej Góry. Ludzie i dary ) - a documentary series about the history of Jasny Góra and the monastic order of Paulines .
• Riddles of those years ( Polish. Zagadki tamtych lat ) is a documentary program, the purpose of which is to reveal the secrets of the history of Poland and the world.
• Taste of tradition ( Polish. Smak tradycji ) - a cycle of cultural studies programs on ancient Slavic life, rites and traditions, as well as Polish folk culture.
• Shadows of the NDP ( Polish. Cienie PRL-u ) - a program that deals with the study of little-known facts from the history of socialist Poland and considers rare documents together with the staff of the Institute of National Remembrance. In each issue of the program, witnesses of the events under discussion participate. Presenter - Bronislav Wildstein.
• 20 years later ( Polish. 20 lat minęło ) - a program about events in the history of Poland after 1989. The program contains fragments of the programs “Polish animals” ( Polish. Polskie Zoo ) and “Political New Year's bed” ( Polish. Polityczna szopka noworoczna ). Presenter - Marcin Volsky.
• The dispute about history ( Polish. Spór o historię ) is a journalistic program about historical debate. Presenter - Maciej Zakrotsky.
