Club career

Andre began his career at the very modest club Loresh, where he was noticed by the breeders of the Lisbon Sporting . However, for a long time in the system of this club he did not manage to stay and he moved to Alverka . From there, Andre left for Belenensis in 2007. In 2008, he made his debut for Belenenses . It happened on November 29 in a match of the Portuguese championship against Maritimo . [2] Already in the next season, Almeida became the main player of Belenenses . He decided not to leave the club after taking off from Primeira , but after a failed season in Segund he accepted the offer to move to Benfica . Andre spent the start of his first season at Unian Leiria on loan. Returning from a lease, he spent only three championship matches. In the seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14, Andre was a player in the rotation of the Benfica squad.

Andre played for various youth and youth teams of Portugal. He made his debut for the Portuguese national team on October 11, 2013 in a match against the Israeli team . [3]
