Vladimir Sergeevich Dmitriev ( May 6, 1926 - April 24, 2014 ) - Soviet commander, first deputy commander-in-chief of the USSR Air Defense Forces (1984-1989), retired colonel general.

Biography
Member of the Great Patriotic War.
In 1946 he graduated from the Gorky Artillery Zening School, and in 1960 - the Military Command Academy of Air Defense.
He was a battery commander in the Baku Air Defense District , commander of an anti-aircraft missile regiment in the Moscow Air Defense District .
- 1962 appointed commander of the 237th Guards Regiment,
- 1971-1973 - First Deputy Commander of the 11th Separate Air Defense Army of the Far Eastern District,
- 1974-1979 - Commander of the 10th separate army of air defense .
- 1979-1984 - Commander of the Air Defense Forces of the Far East,
- 1984-1989 - First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the USSR Air Defense Forces.
Awards and titles
He was awarded two Orders of the Red Star, Orders of the Patriotic War and For Service to the Motherland of the 2nd and 3rd degree and many medals, as well as orders of Bulgaria, Hungary, GDR, Mongolia, Poland, Romania and Czechoslovakia.
