Story
Millionaire Harold Manners does not know where to put his money: he buys new cars, which he immediately crashes in one day. A girl named Nadia wants to open a mission to help the homeless and after seeing an article in the newspaper that tells about the millionaire spender, she sends him a letter asking for help to those in need. Manners' secretary, who parses daily mail, tears her message to shreds and sends it, among others, to the trash. And the unlucky millionaire Manners himself, by chance, finds himself in the quarter of the poor and, passing the social assistance parking lot, inadvertently sets fire to the cart with which father Pavel and his daughter Nadya feed the suffering. Desiring to make amends, he writes Father Pavel a check for $ 1,000. The money went as intended, namely, Father Paul and his daughter open a mission for the afflicted. Nadia thinks that Manners received her letter and therefore became generous.
Manners, without hesitation, signed a check for damages and had no idea what his money would be spent on, so when the next day he opens the newspaper and reads the following: “Millionaire Manners opened a mission to help those in need,” he will take it as a provocation of competitors . Manners becomes furious and immediately goes to the address indicated in the newspaper in order to cover this shop. However ... nothing is alien to millionaires, they can also fall in love, like ordinary mortals. Manners is crazy about the beauty of Nadi, whom he met upon arrival at the mission. He had already forgotten about the purpose of his visit to the mission, he only wanted one thing - that the beautiful Nadia became his wife. The following is a series of exciting adventures of the hero on his way to his own marriage, all this, as always in the films of Harold Lloyd, is accompanied by unthinkable pursuits and scenes of comic action.

About the movie
It was the first Harold Lloyd studio film made for Paramount Pictures , a distributor of films in the United States and in the global film market. The plot during the filming was slightly changed and began to differ from the original concept. Initially, the film was planned to be sharper, directed against crime and political corruption [2] . Lloyd was very unhappy with the result, although the film collected a very good box office in the year of creation, and is now considered one of the most watchable comedies of the popular comedian. The scenes cut during the installation were included in the 1928 film “ Harrier ” by Harold Lloyd .
