Metropolitan Vladislav (in the world Voislav Mitrovich , Serb. Voјislav Mitrovi ; May 26, 1913 , the village of Staro-Selo , Bosnia - September 13, 1992 , Valevo , Serbia ) - Bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church , Metropolitan Dabro-Bosansky .
Biography
He received his primary education in Glamoch, then he graduated from the gymnasium in Priedor, the seminary in Sarajevo and the Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade .
From 1932 to 1935 he served in a church court in Banja Luka .
From 1940 to 1946 he was a law teacher in schools in Bosnia and Serbia .
Since 1950 - professor of theology at the seminary at the monastery of Rakovitsa .
On May 15, 1952, at the Rakovitsa Monastery, Metropolitan Nabarius (Krul) of Dabro-Bosan was tonsured a monk with the name Vladislav.
On June 28 of the same year he was ordained deacon .
On January 27, 1953, he was ordained priest .
In 1953 he was elevated to the rank of Sincella , since 1955 - Protosinkell .
On July 31, 1955, in the Belgrade Cathedral Church, he was consecrated bishop of Zakhumsko-Herzegovinsky . Chorotonia was performed by the Patriarch of Serbia Vincent, Metroplit Dabro-Bosnian Nectarius (Krul), Bishop of Budim Herman (Djoric) and Bishop of Toplichn Dosipheus (Stoikovsky) .
He restored many churches and several monasteries that suffered during the Second World War , ordained a significant number of clergy.
In 1966, after the death of Metropolitan Nectarius, he was appointed administrator of the Dabro-Bosan Diocese.
On June 1, 1967, he was appointed Metropolitan of Dabro-Bosnia with the preservation of the administration of the Zakhumsk-Herzegovina Diocese.
Particular attention was paid to increasing the number and level of education of clergy. He organized celebrations in the dioceses in honor of St. Sava of Serbia and important dates in the history of Serbia. Been on official visits in Geneva , Moscow , Bucharest , etc.
He presided at the Bishops' Council of the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1990 on the election of the new Patriarch of Serbia.
In 1991, despite the outbreak of civil war, he did not leave the diocese and lived in the Zhitomislich monastery , which was subjected to shelling of Ustash brigades during this period.
In early 1992, due to illness, he was transferred to Belgrade, in May 1992, by the decision of the Council of Bishops, he was put to rest with a determination to live in the Dokmir Monastery near the city of Ub .
He died on September 13, 1992 in Valev . He was buried in the monastery of Dokmir .
In September 2002, according to the will, his remains were transferred and buried in the cathedral church of Sarajevo.
