Biography
In 1958-1968, he studied at the 77th secondary school. In 1972 he graduated from the State Polytechnic Institute.
In the years 1972-1974 he served in the ranks of the Soviet army .
From 1974 to 1977 he studied at the Mtskheta Theological Seminary .
In June 1976, Catholicos-Patriarch David V was ordained a deacon.
On July 27, 1977, he was ordained a presbyter .
Since 1977, he taught at the Mtskheta Theological Seminary, and on October 1, 1980, was appointed its inspector.
On October 14, 1980, he was tonsured a monk with the name Zosima .
On October 11, 1983, he was ordained bishop of Chkondid. The consecration was headed by Catholicos-Patriarch Elijah II.

From January 1984 to September 1988 - rector of the Mtskheta Theological Seminary.
