Golovnin, Nikolai Vikulovich

Nikolai Vikulovich Golovnin (1797–1 February 1850) - rear admiral; Head of the Irkutsk Admiralty and the Sea of ​​Okhotsk; second cousin of Vice Admiral V. M. Golovnin [1] .

Biography

Father - lieutenant of the Life Guards Preobrazhensky Regiment Vikul G. Golovnin; mother - Ekaterina Vasilievna (nee Verderevskaya ).

He was brought up on February 1, 1815 in the Naval Cadet Corps ; midshipman - since February 10, 1820.

He was promoted to lieutenant on August 17, 1821 and seconded to Okhotsk ; in 1823-1828, commanded the brig "Dionysius."

In 1829 he returned to St. Petersburg; February 2, 1832 was appointed head of the Irkutsk Admiralty ; since May 26, 1837 he is the chief of the Okhotsk port and captain of the 2nd rank. Captain 1st rank - from December 6, 1839. For service in the Okhotsk Territory, he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree. In 1843 he was transferred to the Baltic Fleet. With the resignation of April 25, 1845 - Rear Admiral.

He was buried at the Smolensk cemetery in St. Petersburg with his wife.
