Eden (Blake)

William Blake River of Life [1]

Paradise or Eden - in the mythology of William Blake it is:

1) Earthly Eden , according to Blake, is a “fruit garden” created by Urizen , awakened from a deadly sleep by the voice of the firstborn man of Orc . [2]

2) Heavenly or spiritual Eden or Paradise - the abode of the Divine Family of the Immortals. Eden represents human perfection. This is "Heaven of Man", his permanent home. Eden is "fourfold" and "human." This is one of the four worlds or states of the Universe along with Generation , Beula and Ulro . This is “God's garden” and “the edge of Life”, in which there are “golden mountains” and “mountain palaces”, cloths where “clothes of immortality” [3] and “wheels inside wheels” are woven, which “rotate freely in peace and harmony ". [4] Four rivers flow in the same place - these are four branches of the “River of Life”, representing the four Zoa, whose names are Urizen , Urtona , Luva and Tarmas . [5]
