General Information
"Stargazers" was first mentioned in such a written monument of the middle of the XVI century as " Stoglav ", which puts this work on a par with other sources of "heretical wisdom": Rafley , " Six- winged ", " Voronograem ", " Aristotelian Gate " [1] . In a similar context, "Star-Stars" is also mentioned in the Kirillov Book ( 1644 ), a collection that was prepared and published by order of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich , but was attributed by the publishers to the Archbishop of Jerusalem, Cyril .
The text of the work is preserved in a single manuscript, which dates from the 18th century (first published in 1863).
Contents
"Stargazer" consists of two parts. The first part is a characteristic of each of the years of the twelve-year cycle, complemented by a number of signs. The second part, relatively small in volume, contains a list of names for 19 years of the Metonov cycle .
