Location

The Village is located in the southeastern part of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky District, about 33 km southeast of the city of Orekhovo-Zuevo . Altitude 149 m [2] .

Title

It is mentioned in written sources as Village (1577), Village (1790), Village (Village) (1862), later - Village . The suffix -isch indicates that the village arose at the place where another village used to be [3] .

History

Before the abolition of serfdom, part of the villagers belonged to the category of state peasants . In 1852, they bought land from the state [4] . Another part of the peasants belonged to the landowner Ogolin [5] . After 1861, part of the community with the former state peasants became part of the Petrovsky volost , another community of the Old Vasilevsky volost of the Yegoryevsky district. The parish was in the village of Znamenskoye [5] [4] .

In 1926, the village was part of the Village Village Council of the Krasnovsky Volost of the Yegoryevsky District [6] .

Until 2006, the villages were part of the Dorokhovsky rural district of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district [7] .

Population

In 1885, 420 people lived in the village (177 in Petrovskaya [8] and 243 in Staro-Vasilyovskaya volost [9] ), in 1905 - 215 people (104 men, 111 women) in Petrovsky volost [10] and 323 people ( 148 men, 175 women) in the Staro-Vasilevsky volost [11] , a total of 538 people, in 1926 - 622 people (287 men, 335 women) [6] . According to the 2002 census , 90 people (30 men, 60 women) [12] . Many famous people lived and live in this settlement, such as Fedya Rybolov, Serega-woolen brother, Pasha-hare, Natasha and Yulka’s girlfriends. From their autobiographical works we can learn a lot of interesting things about the sights of this place.
