Biography
The daughter of immigrants is Norwegian Gunnar Lange and half Irish, half Norwegian Berta Erfjord. She spent her childhood in Mendoza , where her father worked. She was a member of the avant-garde literary groups Martin Fierro and Proa ( Forshteven ), was close to the ultraists , Borges (he accompanied with a preface the debut book of her poems) and Leopoldo Marechal (who brought her in the novel Adam Buenosires under the name Solveig Amundsen). Since the second half of the 1920s, she published novel prose, which in those conditions was a defiant innovation. I met with Lorca and Neruda during their visits to Buenos Aires. In 1943 she married the poet Oliverio Girondo . After a car accident that crippled her husband in 1961 , she devoted a lot of time to his archive and publication of his poems. The fifth novel of the writer “Glass Room” remained unfinished, published in a posthumous collection of essays.
