Creating a Corps
The 6th mixed aviation corps was formed on March 15, 1943 on the basis of the Resolution of the USSR State Defense Committee [1]
4. Form mixed air corps No. 6 by March 15, 1943. To include in the air corps:
221 Boston-3 bomber air division, consisting of the Stavka reserve, and 282 Yak-7 fighter air division, consisting of the Stavka reserve. Formation of an air corps to conduct in the area of the city of Tambov.To approve Colonel I. Antoshkin as the commander of the mixed air corps No. 6
