Dansa ( Spanish Danza ) - Cuban dance. Descended from European counter-dance , known in Cuba since the end of the 18th century. The tempo is moderate and moderately fast, size 2/4, the rhythm is syncopated. It was popular until the beginning of the 20th century. Numerous samples of dance are found in the works of Cuban composers of the 19th century (the classical sample is the piano dances of Ignacio Cervantes Cavanagi ).
