History
The Neftyanik volleyball team was created in 1983 on the basis of the technological transport department of Orenburgneft Production Association with the support of Vladimir Kalmykov, Deputy General Director. At first, Neftyanik participated in city, regional and departmental competitions, and the results achieved in them allowed the team to set the task of entering the all-Union arena. To solve it, Oleg Veniaminovich Kashitsyn, who had previously worked with the women's teams of Orenburg and Leningrad, was invited to the post of head coach in 1989. In 1991, Neftyanik became the winner of the USSR championship among physical education teams in Petropavlovsk , in 1992 he started in the second league of the Russian championship, and by the end of the 1993/94 season he won the right to play in the first league. Since its inception, the club has relied on students from sports schools of the regional center, cities and districts of Orenburg. In 1996, on the initiative of the Oilman, a volleyball department was opened in the Orenburg Olympic Reserve School, which became the forge of talented players.
In 2000, Neftyanik won first place in the final tournament of six teams of the Premier League “A” and won a ticket to the Super League. In the season 2000/01 debut at the highest level, Oleg Kashitsyn’s wards took 10th place in the preliminary stage, and in the final tournament for 7-12th places in the fight for the tenth line, which gave the right to keep residence in the Super League, only Krasnoyarsk “Dorozhnik” was one point ahead. The main binder of the team was Andrei Sukholozov, the main striking force was Yevgeny Matkovsky and Marat Imangaliev, the team leaders were also attackers Vyacheslav Savrasov and Nikolai Barashkov, the central blockers Sergey Dopert, Alexander Krivonogov and Andrey Parshkov, libero Andrey Andropov.
Before the second season in the Super League, the team, which changed its name to TNK- “Orenburg”, was replenished by experienced connecting team of Kazakhstan Alexander Gorbatkov and former captain of Perm Uralsvyazinform forward Ilya Zinkin. At the same time, Nikolai Barashkov and Alexander Krivonogov continued their careers at the Bulgarian club Lukoil-Neftekhimik ( Burgas ). This time, the Orenburgers were less successful, taking the 11th, last but one place in the Russian Championship and were eliminated in the Premier League “A”.
Two years later, the team was renamed TNK-BP and in the 2003/2004 season was close to solving the problem of returning to the strongest class, however, it took 3rd place in the championship of the major league “A”, letting Novosibirsk “Lokomotiv” into the elite and New Urengoy Torch . The last season in Orenburg was conducted by the leader of the national team of Kazakhstan Marat Imangaliev and Sergey Dopert, at the same time, local pupils Georgiy Spichev, Roman Kuchukbaev, Alexey Kadochkin, Grigory Stepannikov, Gleb Kashitsyn began to take the lead [1] . In October 2004, the libero Gleb Kashitsyn was involved in the Russian national team to participate in the world championship in Jakarta among players taller than 185 cm, and later gained fame for his performances for Lokomotiv-Belogorye and Kuzbass [2] .
In the context of a generational change, the results of the Urals declined, and in 2006 the team ended up in the third tier of the Russian championship - the Premier League “B”. In the same year, Oleg Kashitsyn took over as vice president of the club, and his long-term assistant Vladimir Viktorovich Terentyev was appointed head coach of TNK-BP. Two seasons later, the team returned to the Premier League “A” and began to gradually regain lost ground. In 2008, experienced followers Aleksey Ustinenko and Andrei Borozinets were invited to Orenburg, subsequently the club, continuing to rely on its own pupils, was limited to the point strengthening of individual positions. Such well-known Russian players as Alexander Berezin, Andrey Nyrtsov and Sergey Gashtold, as well as the Ukrainian binder Sergey Schavinsky, the Bulgarian central Krasimir Gaidarski, and the Serbian player Goran Belitsa passed through TNK-BP.
In 2012, Gleb Kashitsyn returned to the Orenburg team, again dubbed Neftyanik, Yury Tyutin, champion of the Youth League , connecting Belogorye, was another newcomer. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, Orenburgers successfully performed in the Russian Cup , having managed to break into the semifinal stage, and in the national championship that soon began , they declared themselves as candidates for an increase in class. After the 18th round, the oilmen took the first line in the league table “A”, however, defeats in the final matches of the season from direct competitors eventually dropped the team to 5th place.
At the end of the championship, the “Neftyanik” team underwent significant changes: binders Alexander Mzhelsky and Yuri Tyutin, followers Andrei Nyrtsov, Andrei Borozinets and Albert Stroev, diagonal Vitaly Vasiliev left, and Denis Ignatiev, Roman Egorov , Evgeny Khrishchuk, Artem Stepanov and Mikhail Beketov . Wards of Vladimir Terentyev throughout the 2013/14 season were among the leaders of the Premier League “A”, and in the second round they won in 20 of 22 matches, which nevertheless did not allow to catch up with “Ugra-Samotlor” , which went far ahead, but provided the second place and participation in the transition tournament. It began for Neftyanik as a match against Yaroslavich , in the first installment of which the Orenburgers were able to recoup their score from 14:24, having made 11 breaks on Mikhail Beketov’s innings, and in the second and third sets they didn’t leave the opponent any chances [3] . In the future, “Oilman” won two more victories and took 2nd place, which meant returning to the Super League for the team.
Before the start in the elite division, the ranks of Neftyanik strengthened several players, but due to financial problems during the season, the club had to part with two of them - Alexander Bogomolov and Bulgarian Georgiy Bratoev, the best binder of the Olympic tournament in London 2012. Left the team and the second legionnaire - Goran Belitsa. And yet, the experiences of Mikhail Beketov, Anton Astashenkov, Andrei Titich, Vladimir Ivanov, Pavel Zaitsev, announced instead of Bratoev, and the efforts of the club’s pupils Nikita Kozlov, Alexander Avdeev, Georgy Spichev, Gleb Kashitsyn, Vitaly Vasilyev provided the “Oilman” in the season 2014/15 / fulfillment of the main task of maintaining a residence permit in the Super League.
In the 2015/16 season , Denis Ignatyev, who left Dynamo Krasnodar, became the new Neftyanik’s binder, and the main load in the attack after leaving the team of Mikhail Beketov and Andrei Titich was supported by the diagonal former team captain Nikita Kozlov last season Vitaly Vasiliev and follower Vladimir Ivanov. Wards of Vladimir Terentyev took 12th place in the championship of Russia , noting victories (first in their history) over such eminent rivals as Belogorye and Moscow Dynamo . Almost in the same composition, the team held the next championship , during which it was able to win only two matches and lost registration in the Super League. At the same time, until the last round, Orenburgers retained a chance to participate in the transition tournament and almost created a sensation in a duel with Kazan Zenit , but, having shown their best volleyball, lost to the strongest team in Russia with a score of 2: 3 [4] .
In connection with the demotion of the team in the summer of 2018, Vitaly Vasiliev, Vladimir Ivanov and both of them, Denis Ignatiev and Roman Egorov , left Neftyanik. The start of the season in the Premier League “A” did not happen for the Orenburgers and on December 4, 2017, the club director Oleg Kashitsyn and head coach Vladimir Terentyev were dismissed by the decision of Governor Yuri Berg [5] . The new coach of the team was Vladimir Vikulov from the disbanded Prikamye , and Vitaly Bukhvalov took over as director. Oilman finished the season in fifth place.
