History

Alexey Chunikhin founded the team in the late 90s and since then has remained its permanent member. The composition of the group often changed. The first two albums were recorded with the standard composition of instruments: vocals, guitar, bass and drum set. The third album is “a blues-rock foundation actively washed away by an abrasive from ethnic music and noise experiments” [1] . Along with the song genre, Gray Mouse is also actively experimenting with noise and background music. The group collaborated with the Art-Kino movie club, voiced live films by silent cinema masters of the early 20th century - the so-called “live movie shows” (for example, Robert Vinet’s masterpiece — Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari’s cabinet in 1920. It’s worth note that the Gray Mouse played in Russia and Ukraine, but they were refused to give a concert in Belarus. Local officials said that their music could "cause depressive mood" [2] .
