Biography
He made his film debut in 1943 in the film "They Met in the Dark." He later starred in such classic British films as The Way to the Stars , The Queen of Spades (1949) and The Wooden Horse (1950),
Known as a supporting actor. Role - negative movie heroes, villains and criminals.
He starred in Alfred Hitchcock in the movie “ In the Case of a Murder Type“ M ” ” (1954).
After meeting with director Terence Young, he played in several, starting from the first, films “Bond” .
Starred in films in England, USA, France, Italy, Yugoslavia.
He played actively in the 1960s, then began to act less frequently, continued acting until the early 1990s.
He died in January 1992 at the age of 75 from cancer.
