Geography
The commune is located approximately 400 km southeast of Paris , 19 km northeast of Lyon , 45 km south of Bourke-en-Bres [1] .
In the south of the commune, the Rhone River flows, the Miribel Canal passes, and several lakes are located.
Climate
The climate is semi-continental [2] with cold winters and warm summers. Rains happen infrequently, mainly in the summer.

The population of the commune for 2010 was 1,488 people.
