In Takila there is a meeting room and the administrative center of gevog.

In Takila, the construction project of a large Padmasambhava monument about 30 m high on the lotus throne, at the base of which there will be three temples ( lakhangs ) - Cheku-lakhang on the upper floor, Longku-lakhang on the middle floor and Trulk-lakhang on the lower floor, is close to completion. The museum should also be located on the ground floor. It is also intended to partially cover the monument with gold. Padmasambhava is presented in the form of Guru Nangsi Zelnen (Nangsi Zilnön (Wyl. Snang srid zil gnon), the Prevailing over everything that is and exists [5] ). The construction is carried out in accordance with the prediction of the famous Lama Sonam Zangpo (1888-1984), who said that the construction of the statue in this place will favorably affect the prosperity and peace of Bhutan and the whole world. The project area is 27 acres (about 1100 m²). In 2005, a consecration ceremony was held, but construction began in 2008. The work is carried out by 25-35 workers. It was supposed to complete work in 2013, but bad weather and adverse conditions led to a delay in construction.

It is supposed to turn Takila into a place of Buddhist pilgrimage, as well as to develop both domestic and international tourism in the region [2] [4] [3] .
