Rovnocapnia atra (lat.) Is a fossil species of spring grass species of the genus Rovnocapnia from the family Capniidae . Europe , Ukraine , Eocene Rovno amber (about 40 Ma) [1] .

Description

Small stoneflies, dyne 5-6 mm. It differs from related genera by shortened polynomial, cone-shaped churches. The body, wings and legs are black. Epiproct is tubular. The species Rovnocapnia atra was first described in 2009 by the Russian entomologist Nina Dmitrievna Sinichenkova (Arthropod Laboratory, Paleontological Institute RAS , Moscow ) together with the fossil species Rovnocapnia ambita Sinitshenkova, 2009 , Palaeoleuctra acuta Sinitshenkova, 2009 . Species of Rovnocapnia ambita form the genus Rovnocapnia Sinitshenkova, 2009 . The species name R. atra comes from the Latin word atra (black), and the generic Rovnocapnia comes from the city of Rivne and the genus Capnia [1] .
