Zenit is a multifunctional stadium building in Volgograd , which is part of the Zenit sports complex. Opened in July 1927 [1] and is one of the oldest stadiums in the city.

The stadium has a football field with natural grass cover, 8 athletics tracks, two stands. The western tribune includes 1870 seats, and the eastern - 1716 seats. Near the stadium there is also an artificial turf field, tennis courts, a swimming pool and parking.
On September 26, 2013, one of the matches of the qualifying round of the European Football Championship U17 was held at the stadium. [2]
After the demolition of the Central Stadium , the Zenit stadium was reconstructed and temporarily became the site of the Rotor FC for home matches. [3]
During the 2018 World Cup, the stadium was used as a training base for participating teams [4] .
