Francois Andre Dürle ( Fr. François André Durlet , also Frans Andris Dürle , niderl. Frans-Andries Durlet ; July 11, 1816 , Antwerp - March 2, 1867 , Antwerp ) - Belgian architect.
Known, above all, as a restorer. He worked on the restoration of the Steen Castle and the Cathedral of Our Lady of Antwerp , in which, among other things, he designed new choirs. In the original work he was one of the first representatives of neo-gothic in Belgium. He taught at the Antwerp Academy of Arts , his most important student was Peter Kuipers .
The son of Durl Frans Durl (1855–1931) was also an architect, and his grandson Emmanuel was a famous musician.
The name Durle is the street in Antwerp ( niderl. Durletstraat ).
