Marpissa mossy [1] ( Marpissa muscosa ) - a species of horse spiders common in the Palearctic . Females reach a length of 8-11 mm, and males - 6-8 mm. Body color from gray to brown. Spiders live in nests that settle in dead trees. Sometimes large groups are found, consisting of about 100 nearby nests. Catch insects by jumping on them. Mating takes place in May.
