Varon, Lisa Marie

Lisa Marí Varon [4] ( born Lisa Marie Varon , nee Sole ; born February 10, 1971 [2] ) is an American wrestler and former bodybuilder . Varon is best known for playing at World Wrestling Entertainment under the name Victoria , where she became two- time WWE Women's Champion . Also famous for her performances at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the name Tara . Varon participated in fitness competitions and in 1997 won the ESPN2 Fitness America Series in 1997. [7] [8] In 1999, she took second place in the IFBB ranking. [2] [3] [8]

Having met with Chaynaya , a reseller playing in WWF , Varon also decided to become a reseller. [2] [3] [7] She trained at the WWF training site for three years before debuting on their show under the name Victoria. [7] Her first television appearance was on the WrestleMania 2000 show as one of the Godfather's girls. Her debut as a reseller took place in June 2002, four months after her debut, she won the WWE champion title, which she had twice in her career. After leaving WWE in 2009, Varon made her TNA debut under the name Tara. In TNA, she became a champion five times, as well as once a team champion with Brooke Tessmaker . [one]

Early life

Varon was born in California , in the city of San Bernardino . Starting from grade 6, she actively participated in cheerleading . [2] [4] She was selected by the national cheerleading association to participate in the NFL Pro Bowl , along with 70 other women from across the country. [4] [9] [10] She worked as a coordinator of human tissues and was involved in organ and tissue donation . [3] [4] [6] [7] [9]

Wrestling career

World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment

After moving to Los Angeles , Varon began to work as a trainer in the gym. There she met China and decided how to become a reseller as well. [2] [3] [7] Varon sent her resume to WWF [2] [3] [9] and was invited for an interview for a month. Due to the lack of previous experience in wrestling, she was sent to the WWF training site [2] [3] [11] [2] [11] [12] She impressed WWE talent scout Bruce Pritchard during her first UPW show. [2] [9] where she spent three years with an interim appearance at WrestleMania 2000 along with The Godfather . [4] [13] After training, she was given the stage name Victoria. [4] [11] Varon debuted at World Wrestling Entertainment on July 7, 2002. [11] [14] She got the image of a negative character and began to quarrel with Trish Stratus . [11] [15] At the Survivor Series, Victoria defeated Trish and won her first WWE title. [16] [17] Later, Stevie Richards saved Victoria from Trish's attack and Victoria began a plot relationship with him. [11] [18] [19]

On May 24, 2009, TNA confirmed the signing of a contract with Varon. [20] She made her TNA debut on May 28, 2009 under the name Tara, which is short for Tarantula . On July 9, she defeated Angelina Love and won the knockout title. [21] She lost the title two weeks later on Victory Road . [22]

On September 24, she teamed up with ODB to compete in the TNA Team Champion Belt Tournament, but they lost. [23]

Father Varon is a Puerto Rican , a Vietnam War veteran, and his Turkish mother, worked as a singer in Japan . [24] [25]

She has been married to Lee Varon for 20 years. [26] [27] Varon loves motorcycles and has his own Suzuki Hayabusa [6] [28] .
